Raul  Boggio

I am a native, bilingual English and Spanish speaker from Florida, USA. I founded Advantage English in 1996 and created the "Talk Advantage" method of teaching ESL, a method that ensures the highest STT (student talking time) and lowest TTT (teacher talking time) in the ESL industry. The "Talk Advantage" method works!  I am an also avid fisherman, tennis player, writer, gardner and amateur film maker. I have won several first place awards in film and poetry. I love Japan and love hosting sashimi parties! Kathleen  Reddick


I'm Kathleen I'm a native bilingual, English and French speaker from Canada. Nice to meet you!  I have been in Japan since completing my Bachelors Degree in Arts with Honors in History in March 2014. Before joining the Advantage team, I enjoyed teaching at an international preschool here in Japan, and giving extra-curricular science lessons back in Canada.  In my free time I especially like attempting to cook Japanese dishes, reading about Japan's colorful history, and learning something new.  I look forward to helping you improve your English! Jenny  Lynn


Hello, I am Jenny from Canada.  I attended Royal Roads University and have a BA in Communications and a Post graduate in International Business from Autonoma Universidad de Barcelona. I studied with TESOL International (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).  I am making my dreams come true by coming to Japan, I want to learn more about Japanese cultural, history and nature.  I enjoy cooking, traveling, reading, writing, exercising, hiking and adventuring in my free time. I'm from Ohio, USA and studied electrical engineering before becoming an ESL teacher. I have lived and worked all over the world and my last job was an English and computer science teacher at an international school in Guatemala. I love to travel and the outdoors and came to Japan to walk O-henro in shikoku and then Nagoya to teach English. I have experience with all age groups and enjoy teaching kids and adults! 






Claire  Gorant 

Hi, my name is Claire and I am from Ohio State in America.  Is studied at Bowling Green State University, where I majored in Linguistics and the Japanese Language. Last year I was finally able to pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.  I’ve been in Japan for about 5 years now, and in that time I’ve fallen in love with the language and the food! I enjoy reading, video editing and playing with my pets. Alexis Riley 


I attended the University of Iowa and majored in English Literature and Studio Art. Later I took the CELTA course to be trained to teach English as a foreign language. I worked as a barista in Iowa City for five and a half years before working at Advantage English. I have experience in video editing, video game design, and both creative and professional writing. In my free time, I enjoy reading and drawing. I have experience with all age groups and love teaching kids and adults! 




Rafael Hernandez


Hello, I am Rafael from Puerto Rico and a native English and Spanish teacher. I have two years of experience teaching English in South Korea and one year teaching First Grade in the Bronx, New York. I worked for six years as an Administrative Aide at New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. At NYU, my focus was on faculty support and I administered the faculty and course evaluation system to get feedback from the students about their experience at the Wagner Graduate School. I have a Master in International Law from Cornell Law School and also speak French. I spend most of my free time reading or visiting museums around Nagoya. I have experience with all age groups and love teaching kids and adults! 





Steve Pek


I am a native of New York State. I've been living and teaching English in Japan for over 13 years. I graduated from the Eastman School of Music with a degree in Performance Arts(trombone). I have experience teachingEnglish to all ages and all levels of students including conversational and business English and English for travelling. I also have extensive experience helping students prepare for the EIKEN, TOEFL & TOEIC exams. My main goal in teaching is to have students truly enjoy the time they spend in my classes, while also giving them the tools they need to actually improve their ability to communicate. I have experience with all age groups and enjoy teaching kids and adults!
